Sometimes I have to stop and actually look around.
Because… holy s**t. We built this!!!

The Rooted Mane didn’t come with a blueprint.

We started with an idea. A vision. a trillion late nights, community-drawn inspiration, a lot of “do you think this will work?” conversations, and (to be honest) a whole lot of figuring it out as we went.

And now look🤎

A team of 22.
People building careers here.
Guests who have been with us from the very beginning.
A place our kids can look at and be proud of
A space that feels like *us*
A brand that came straight from our own ideas.
A business that we built completely from scratch.

There have been SO many moments where it felt hard. Many moments where we heavily questioned ourselves, lol.

But then there are moments like this.🥹

Where I can look around and think
We really *freaking* did that.

that’s what I’m most proud of.

Not just what The Rooted Mane is today, but the fact that we created something that didn’t exist before us.

We had an idea of what we wanted this place to feel like, and then we actually went and built it.

And somehow, we’re standing here in the Top 3 of DE 🤎 congrats, team! You absolutely rock 🤘🏽

A little bit of this, a little bit of that back to school rhythm

August, in no particular order:

Good hair days
messy kids
mirror selfies
salon corners
Coffee I didn’t get to finish
and me pretending I’m not absolutely stalking my team while they film content 😂

Just a little life lately dump. 🤎

come spend a very normal day with me 🤎

4:00am — baby feed + somehow a business brainstorm
7:30am — baby snugs officially start the day (usually with the boys too but they had a sleepover)
9:30am — phone meeting while driving (with care, obviously 😂)
coffee, food + attempting to organize my life
walking into work + realizing I very clearly need a work bag (ordered & OTW)
11:30am — lashes with Kristine
12:00pm — marketing meeting with Victoria
then… hair time ✨ mini, partial + full custom highlights
end of the day — ice cream + bedtime with my kids
and finally… cleaning for the cleaner because iykyk 😂

a little chaotic, a lot productive, of course coffee, and somehow it all gets done.

When was the last time you looked in the mirror and thought,

“I finally feel like myself again.”

THAT right there is the feeling we’re chasing.
Not perfection.

Bridal color isn’t a one-size-fits-all
& that’s exactly why I love it. 🤍

Every bride’s color plan is different, but this is what made the most sense for hers.

We intentionally kept her on mini custom appointments leading up to today so I could let some of her natural depth return. Instead of layering highlights over old highlights, today’s Full Custom gave me a much cleaner canvas to create soft, intentional dimension.

Before the wedding, we’ll do one final Full Custom to refine the placement, perfect the tone, and make sure her blonde looks polished and wedding-ready.

🌿 bridal hair isn’t just about the final appointment. It’s about the plan behind it.

No one really talks about the first day back after maternity leave. You’re excited, you’re nervous but ready... and then you walk in and realize your brain has been in baby mode for weeks. 😂 It took me a little longer to figure out where to begin

This season is filled with pump breaks, extra water, checking in with my team, and making a game plan for everything I want to tackle over the next few weeks.

one thing I didn’t expect was how grateful I’d feel. Care held down the fort so well during maternity leave, and that was such a gift. Walking back in today reminded me how truly lucky I am to have a team I trust.

I’m looking forward to getting back into a routine here! Safe to say there is quite a lot of catching up to do + I am so excited for it!
