When you’re choosing the right exfoliant, options can seem ENDLESS, with every brand promising results. But how do you know which one is right for you?
There are 2 types of exfoliation in skincare, mechanical (physical) and chemical.
Enzymes and acids fall under chemical exfoliation.

When choosing a chemical exfoliant, first consider any skin disorders you may struggle with (rosacea, psoriasis, etc.), and make sure your exfoliation method is safe and won’t trigger a flare-up.

Second, you need to know your skin’s overall sensitivity. Are you easily reactive? Do products often cause itching or burning? Is one area of your face more easily irritated or affected than another? For clients who deal with intense sensitivity, enzymes are usually the best choice.

Every October, Purely You goes PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Over the years, our little spa and amazing community have raised thousands of dollars for Look Good Feel Better (two years in a row!), the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation & Empower. 🩷
And we like to have a little fun while doing good! Past fundraising has included traveling raffle baskets, charitable spa events, themed spa services and PINK Boutique retail items!
THIS YEAR, WE WANT YOU TO HELP US CHOOSE WHO WE SUPPORT!
