-use a rich moisturizer, preferably containing ceramides or hyaluronic acid, to lock in moisture and create a protective barrier

-choose products that do not contain fragrance as it can be irritating to the skin

-a humidifier introduces water v***r, helping to maintain optimal hydration levels for the skin

-exfoliation is still important for those with dry skin, but only do it 1-2x a week with a mandelic or lactic acid as those are more gentle

-avoid any extreme temperature such as super hot water as it can dry out the skin further and cause sensitivities

Oily skin needs moisture too!

Just because you have oily skin does not mean you should skip moisturizer. If you’re cleansing but not moisturizing after, your skin will become dry and stripped of its natural oils. This will cause your skin to produce even more oil to try to defend itself, which will make your skin issues worsen.

Balance is key, always be gentle with your skin as the barrier can get easily disrupted. If you have oily skin you may need to exfoliate a little more than others.
