Some actual facts - not conjecture - about va**ng:

Fact: To***co flavored v**e products are no different than any others. All eliquids are made the same way. They contain propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, ni****ne and flavoring, which is usually PG based as well. There’s no difference in the chemical make-up of any of them. The only difference is the FDA is saying that youth are more attracted to the ones that have flavors other than to***co.

The problem with that logic is that the reason va**ng is popular among underage kids is not because of the flavors but because unlike ci******es that leave you stinking and require fire, you can pretty much v**e anywhere undetected without the stink and thick smoke lingering. So you dont get caught by your parents or teachers. Many underage kids have always smoked even when the only type of cigarette available is either to***co or menthol. Banning flavored eliquid won’t stop underage kids from va**ng. They’ll just v**e to***co or menthol flavored products.

Fact: The v**e products that were used in the majority of the cases where people were hospitalized, were black market THC cartridges, not regular ni****ne v**e products. Therefore, banning flavored v**e products will not help solve that problem whatsoever, just like banning drugs or certain guns doesn’t take the drugs or those guns off the black market.

Fact: The reason ci******es kill people is not because of the ni****ne but because of the smoke, which is made by burning to***co leaves that have been treated with many harmful chemicals and therefore contains numerous carcinogens. Va**ng doesn’t have any of that. Normal doses of ni****ne such as those found in eliquid alone does not kill people. If ni****ne was the killer, there would be no ni****ne gum, lozenges or patches.

Blaming va**ng for these incidents would be like blaming syringe manufacturers for overdoses. It’s what was inside the cartridge that matters, not the device or the thousands of legit ni****ne v**e products.

Fact: Almost half 1 million people die every year in the United States because of ci******es yet you do not hear anyone calling for a ban on ci******es. The y are heavily regulated and taxed. The federal government and state governments rely heavily on cigarette excise taxes and MSA payments. What government would want to kill their cash cow? There is no tax on va**ng in most states. Do the math.
