Not saying you CAN’T pull inspo from people who don’t look like you (I’m a suck for anything Simone Ashley) but expectations can get shifted around

Bridal makeup must haves (non cosmetic):

• HULKEN BAG - seriously, I cannot say how easy this makes my life. You can see just how many things I fit in and it rolls seamlessly, even over rocky pavement

• NEEWER PANEL LIGHTS - I’ve gone through ring lights, stick lights, so many different types of lighting and these are my favorite. They hold a charge for a long time and are easily transported with soooo many different light settings

• MAGSAFE LIGHT GRIP - not featured in this video but I have (2) mini lights that clip onto the back of my phone and help create such beautiful consistent lighting for photos

• DENTAL TRAY MATS - I’ve used these and towels to lay flat on my station. The disposables are always going to work out better for me because I can just toss them after they’re done and there’s no contamination

• DRINKING STRAWS - the amount of times I see this reaction 😱😃 from bridesmaids when I give them a straw for their drinks - help you, help YOU. Straws will keep those lip touch-ups minimal

Considering getting a portable table for my kit, because not every venue has a banquet table laid out for you like Ocean Place Resort and Spa

Non-makeup PSA: As I’ve gotten older, I’ve moved away from mass produced pieces and towards hand made things with a backstory.

Back to today: I drove out to PA today for a 4 person bridal party like any other wedding appointment, and expected just that: to do bridal makeup and leave.

I was not expecting to leave today’s appointment with a beautifully hand-painted piece of artwork 🥹
