I'm a little late on posting this, and it's hard to fit all of our adventures into one post, but I am so grateful for everything I got to experience this year, personally and professionally! I'd like to formerly introduce myself. I'm Katie Carroll, a stylist and color specialist at , located inside the iconic building in Holmdel, NJ.

I love doing all types of color services, including grey coverage, lived-in dimension, platinum blondes, creative colors, and even color correction! 🎨 I also LOVE a good blowout, and I truly believe a sculpted style makes your whole look complete!

Outside of the salon, I like to spend time tending to my 70+ houseplants 🪴 and relaxing with my boyfriend, Bob!

We are big food lovers, and we like to try new local restaurants whenever we can! When we are home, a jigsaw puzzle hates to see us coming.. 🧩

This week marks 6 years that I've been working at ❤️

I thought I'd take some time to reflect on my decade-long hair career with some throwback pictures! Back in 2014, I started my journey to become a cosmetologist through the Monmouth County Vocational program. Those were 2 very transformative years of my life, and I'm so grateful for my amazing teacher, Kimberly C.

She told us that if we wanted to find a salon that was dedicated to educating new stylists, Salon Concrete was the salon to go to. I didn't take her advice right away, and I worked at a few other salons at the beginning of my career that couldn't provide me with the training I so badly yearned for. After a couple of years of feeling discouraged in my career choice, I finally took a major step and applied to work at Salon Concrete. It was the best decision I've ever made!

Working for has been a life and career-changing experience for me, and I am so grateful for every opportunity I have been given here. Christine invests in my growth and always encourages me to keep learning.

I think the real secret to success is being willing to learn new things, no matter your level of experience. In this ever-evolving industry, it's so important to stay on top of trends and new techniques. Salon Concrete has provided me with so many wonderful tools to ensure I can provide the best service to my clients.
