Today, a new client walked through our doors.

As we talked, she shared that she’d been looking for a salon she truly felt connected to for quite some time, but just hadn’t found the right place.

When I first welcomed her, I didn’t notice her hair.

I didn’t notice the color that had grown out or the ends she wanted to change.

The very first thing I noticed was her shirt.

It said, “Love Like Jesus.” I actually have the same one at home.😅

We kept talking about her hair goals, what she was hoping for, and my availability. Then she looked at me, she smiled, and said,

“Your hat… Thank you, Jesus. I knew I found the right place!!”

I don’t think she realized how much those words meant to me.

Because the truth is, that’s exactly what I’ve prayed Roots would be.

Not just a salon.

A place where people feel peace when they walk in. A place where they’re genuinely loved, welcomed without judgment, and reminded that they matter LONG BEFORE they ever sit in the chair!

Yes, we love creating beautiful hair…

But if someone leaves feeling more encouraged, more confident, or simply knowing they were cared for—that’s the kind of beauty that lasts.
