Happy anniversary (and official start to Pride season) to Sarah & Avery! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🌈 Both brides wanted a minimalist, elevated, polished look that felt comfortable but camera-ready, which is my favorite natural style to do (especially for summer weddings featuring a lot of daylight photography).

This was my first time at The Ruins at Sassafras Farm so I arrived early for Maria’s wedding prep and had time to walk around the grounds; what a beautiful location just across the state line from the Berkshires! Exploring cool venues throughout the northeast is definitely one of the perks of my job.

We did a softer lip at her trial, but as soon as I saw her manicure, I knew I needed to talk her into a matching lip. Fortunately, we were both on the same page, and I’m so happy that Maria decided to go bolder because she rocked the red!

You never know when a bride you worked with almost a decade ago might come back around when it’s her sibling’s turn! Renee (an amazing attorney whose wedding I did back in 2016, also in the Berkshires) reached out to me again to book makeup for herself, her mom, and a few others at her brother’s wedding. She opted for a bold wine lip for the occasion, and of course, the grooms got some subtle makeup for the camera too!

It was such a pleasure to work with this family again, and I was absolutely on the FLOOR when I saw the rainbow uplighting on The Mount.

Sometimes natural makeup means natural color tones (earthtones and such), but still bringing in a bit of drama. Other times, it means makeup that enhances but isn’t immediately noticeable – you just look like the best, most polished version of your everyday self.
