META NEEDS TO DO BETTER.
My post was removed for showing an ar**la transformation on a breast cancer survivor.
Let me be very clear: this was not sexual content. This was not posted for shock value. This was paramedical artistry.
This was the chest of a woman who survived breast cancer, underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction, and chose 3D ar**la tattooing as part of reclaiming something cancer took from her.
We can scroll past shirtless male chests every single day.
But a breast cancer survivor’s scars and a tattooed ar**la created to help her feel whole again are somehow considered inappropriate?
That needs to change.
There is nothing shameful or sexual about breast cancer reconstruction. There is nothing inappropriate about showing the incredible possibilities available to survivors who may not even know this service exists.
This work matters.
This post was about giving her something back after cancer tried to steal her life.
It was about restoration. It was about healing. It was about choice. And it was about showing another survivor what is possible.
