I have made most of my money foiling and let me tell you it is TIME CONSUMING.
Here’s three things that save me the most time:
🤑 You don’t need every fancy thing that comes out on the market that says it will make everything better and faster. I have rarely ever used a color board or even rat tails.
🍨 Mix one scoop at a time. It loses its power the more it sits there in the bowl. Even though it’s annoying to mix over and over your results will be all over the place if you mix 2+ scoops at once.
🍽 I’m not saying you have to use super expensive colorful foils. I’m saying don’t fold so many times. Don’t crumple. I usually just do a half fold. Or if I’m condescending a platinum card technique, I don’t even use foil.

LISTEN Up! If you don’t know why I would say these things, you’re about to learn.
🚩 I don’t even carry 40 vol on the back bar. I’ll maybe have a bottle of 30 but it’s usually not necessary. 10 and 20 get me there just fine.
😵💫 There are some color brands out there that claim the product won’t be considered permanent when using 10 vol or less for toner, just stick to a gloss or shades, even direct dyes. Just educate your guest on maintenance and durability.
💸 extensions are super fun. Instant gratification. Those with compromised hair weren’t always compromised and this can not only make them feel incredible, it’s a great skill to learn and keep your appointment book filled.
