Starting your own business is scary. Owning a business isn’t easy, if it was easy everyone would do it! Business requires a different mindset. A different way of looking at things and, first and foremost, confidence in yourself. I have learned and grown so much over the last 10 years.

You cannot let the fear of failing stop you. “I want to, but what if I fail?” Fear is nothing more than an illusion! To me, “failure” is quitting, failure is giving up. Failure is an easy out! Failure doesn’t scare me, it challenges me! I see problems as challenges, and I thrive on problem-solving. If you can operate in chaos, you can do anything! I live by the phrase “expect the unexpected” because it’s true.

You have to be able to think outside the box, do, and act on things for yourself. There is no one else that’s going to do it for you or figure it out for you. There’s nobody else to pass the blame on. Just you. Being a business owner means you are responsible for e v e r y t h i n g. Having love for what you do in life is essential. Building strong client relationships requires time, effort, and dedication. It is simply not just providing a service or product. It’s about the connection you make and the trust you build, not just as a hairstylist, but also as a therapist, an entertainer, and a friend.

My clients are so much more than just customers. You are the heart of my business and the reason I get to do what I love every day. From the referrals you’ve sent, all the years of sharing and celebrating all of life’s highs and lows,to the many connections that lead to so many once in lifetime opportunities that I wouldn't know otherwise.

I am forever humbled and so grateful for every experience. This has been and continues to be the most incredible journey of my life. It wasn’t “easy” it wasn’t “luck” and it wasn’t handed to me. It was passion, dedication, hard work, and tears. The exhaustion, pressure, stress, countless hours and many mini breakdowns were real! But I wouldn’t trade this life for anything!
