As a brow waxer, I get questions about my services and their benefits. I’m happy to make another post addressing some common questions. Questions like:

1. What is a Brow Lamination?

A lamination is a service where I use a processing solution to relax your brow hairs, then I use a neutralizing solution to assign them into place. Think of a lamination as a perm for your brows! After this service, your brows will lay perfectly for 3-5 weeks. They will appear perfectly brushed 24/7! Laminations are great for those with sparse, coarse, or even thin eyebrows!

2. What does Mapping mean?

Before I remove any hair, I ALWAYS map your brows beforehand. This means I use the angles specific to YOUR facial features to find the starting, arch, and ending point of your brows. I then connect those lines, which gives me a guide for what your brows should look like after I remove hair. Mapping ensures I don’t remove any vital hairs and allows you to see the result before I wax.

3. How long does a Brow Lamination take?

It all depends on the coarseness of your eyebrow hairs! There is no set time for a lamination, since I constantly check and re-check your brows while processing until they are fully processed. At the very least, a lamination will take at least 35 minutes to complete.

4. Which service would help me earn the most points?

A brow lamination, wax, and tint is $99, which will ensure you earn 495 Ulta Points! After you accumulate 500 Ulta Points, you can enjoy $17.50 off your next purchase!

There are some common questions I come across everyday as a brow waxer. So I thought I would answer some burning questions for all my beauties out there!

1. What even is a brow wax?

A brow wax is a service I provide that utilizes melted wax. Using a wooden stick, I apply the wax and lay a strip of linen on top. Then, using the strip, I pull off the wax which removes any unwanted hair.

2. What can I expect in a brow wax?

At Ulta, I take pride at communicating thoroughly with my clients. That’s why before I remove any hair, I cleanse and map out your brows (showing you results before I remove any hair). I then wax your brows, tweeze any missed hairs, and trim your brows to show their true shape. Lastly, I apply wax removing oil to your skin, making sure to remove ALL wax residue (no sticky eyes here!!).

3. How long does a Wax and Tint take?

A wax and tint only takes 30 minutes to complete!
