People ask me all the time how I built my brand the way I did, and I think the biggest thing is that I never expected it to happen overnight.
I started with a couple hundred followers and posting nail pictures that were honestly mediocre at best.š„² I had no idea what I was doing when it came to actually building a business on social media.
I had to learn as I went. I made mistakes. I had to figure out what I wanted my business to look like, who I wanted to work with, what I wanted to be known for and what actually felt like me.
There was a LOT of trial and error. A lot of changing things, trying things, learning what worked and figuring out what didnāt work for me.
But I really put the work into building something that felt intentional instead of just hoping people would book the empty spots in my schedule.
Now I have a clientele that I genuinely love. I have clients who have become people I truly look forward to seeing and who treat me like family. Iāve gotten to connect with other business owners, brands and people who I genuinely connect with.
I have full books, a 150+ person waitlist and a brand that Iām genuinely proud to put my name on.
When people ask me how I built all of this, I think they sometimes assume there was one thing I did that changed everything. But there wasnāt.
It was a lot of little things, a lot of learning and a lot of work that eventually added up to what my business is today.
And Iām really proud of how far itās come!!š

And whatās my best suggestion for remembering??
I always keep a Cuticle & Co. | SCENTED CUTICLE OIL pen in every room! Yes⦠every room. I keep one next to my bed, next to my couch, in the kitchen, in my purse and in my bathroom!
Using cuticle oil daily and taking care of your nails will actually save me time and YOU time when you come to see me. When the skin is hydrated and soft, the cuticle is quicker to remove. Rather than me having to exfoliate layers of dead skin!š

I used to think those successful beauty pros just had it all figured out and never made mistakes.
Turns out⦠most of us got here by making a lot of mistakes. I definitely did.šāāļø
Looking back, I honestly wouldnāt change any of it. Every mistake has taught me something, and Iād probably still be making some of them if I hadnāt learned the hard way.
If youāre trying to grow your business, I hope this reminds you that you donāt have to have everything figured out.
And if youāre looking for a little more direction, thatās exactly why I created my guide to becoming fully booked. Itās everything I wish someone wouldāve told me when I was first trying to build my clientele. If youād like to check it out comment āguideā.
Otherwise I want to hear from youā¦
Whatās one mistake that actually made you a better beauty pro? It might be exactly what someone else needs to hear today!!!
