My days of cramming 4-5 people are over. Years ago I did that and my work was not what I consider to be my best. Good, yes, but I don’t want to be good, I strive to be GREAT.
A tattoo on the face, a permanent modification is not something I take lightly. I realize the immense responsibility I have to my clients. My job is to make them feel more confident and anything else is just not acceptable in my eyes.
So if you all ever wonder to why I’m so strict on my policies-this is why. Constantly rescheduling causes me to sometimes be out of work for the day. That’s not a sustainable way to run a business.

Lindsay and I are both small business owners. We’ve both had people behind us at different points, but at the end of the day we are our own brands, our own engines, and we have carried a lot on our own. Sitting down with her and realizing we had both walked through versions of the same fire was one of those conversations I didn’t know I needed.

I built this business from the ground up inside a tattoo shop ten years ago. And those ten years came with things nobody puts in their highlight reel. Grief I didn’t have time to process. People I trusted completely who disappeared with pieces of me I’ll never get back. Losses that would have leveled most people. And through all of it I kept booking. Kept showing up. Kept pushing because that’s what you do, right?

Until I didn’t recognize myself anymore.

Fitness and wellness had always been a huge part of who I was. And somewhere inside the grind I lost that completely. I lost a lot of things. And I spent more time than I want to admit just trying to numb the exhaustion of a life that looked great on the outside and felt like survival on the inside.

That’s what hustle culture actually looks like up close. Not the aesthetic. Not the waitlist screenshot. The quiet unraveling of a person who forgot she mattered too.

If you’re just starting out in this industry, or building anything from scratch, hear this: your business cannot be your whole identity. It will take everything you give it and ask for more. The clients, the bookings, the growth, none of it means anything if you disappear inside of it.

Smaller is not failure. Slower is not weakness. Choosing yourself is not giving up.

You don’t have to go bigger to go further. You just have to stay intact long enough to get there.

I’m finally building that version of this business now. Not bigger. Better. And for the first time in a long time, I actually feel like myself again.

Your brows aren’t faded. They’re full.

There’s a difference between brows that need a touch up and brows that have hit maximum saturation… and adding more ink to a full skin is exactly how you end up with color shifts, muddy results, and brows that can’t be corrected with a touch up anymore.

Low saturation = touch up time.
Medium saturation = let them fade, they still look great.
High saturation = removal first, then we correct.

I offer pico laser lightening and removal at The Ink Edit so we can clear the slate and actually fix what’s there. You don’t always need a full removal… sometimes we just need to make room.

I will never teach a 3-day course. And here’s why.

There’s an epidemic of botched PMU out there… and most of it traces back to undertrained artists who were taught by undertrained artists. The cycle just keeps going.

I apprenticed because this is permanent. I bought a laser because I see the damage every single day. My job isn’t just to do great work… it’s to fix what the industry keeps getting wrong.

I’m trying to break the cycle. Not profit from it.

My clients ask me constantly how I do my brows! So I thought I would show you my process in action.

Powder brows or any PMU technique don’t replace the need or look of makeup‼️
I always tell clients… think of it as your base coat or primer. Since tattoos live in the skin, they can’t replicate the look of makeup (or let’s call it what it is-face paint) because that lays ON TOP of the skin. So stop chasing that! All your doing is depositing layer upon layer of ink. If any of you paint, you know that applying color over time that way will just end up looking like a muddy mess. Only get a touchup when truly needed. When they’ve faded about 50%.

I don’t ever mind doing mine because the shape and foundation are set! It takes me 2 mins and honestly I love the look better with the tattoo underneath bc throughout the day- even when it fades or smudges it always looks good 👍 not to mention I don’t have to guess where my shape goes each day.

The products I LOVE are I’ve found they have the best quality and bang for your buck.
