Whether your office space is used for working from home, a place to complete bills, or a homework area, we know how fast the accumulation of the clutter factor can happen and with a cluttered space comes a cluttered mind. I know first hand that stressful feeling looking at your space wishing with a snap of a finger, it would turn into one of those beautifully tidy Pinterest pictures. Being in the middle of redoing my workspace, I too want a little sanctuary space with everything in place. Where I can feel relaxed getting work done. Not overwhelmed with piled up paperwork.
To help ease this process, I have done lots of research for tips on how to be more organized, efficient and get the most out of my space. Some are DIY's that I've come up with to make my office my own style.
Envision how you'd like your space to look and be as creative as you want! Let your personality shine through in your workspace.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Chair. A decorative chair is a main focal point so if you're going for a certain style and want to keep the one you have, repurpose it. Pick a fabric you are into or throw a couple coats of paint on. A few tips before buying a new one, keep in mind your chair should be comfortable yet durable to sustain it's continual use. Picking a chair think about your flooring. Helping your decision on picking a chair easier whether you need wheels or not.

Lighting. To minimize the things on top of your desk, get rid of the desk lamp and go with a hanging bulb, hanging lights or a stylish light fixture to shed light on what you're working on. If you're working with a bigger space, a relaxing salt lamp in place of a desk lamp will serve you more purpose, giving that zen touch while easing any anxiety.


A floor mat or rug. I have a faux wood textured floor mat so my chair can easily roll on it. Bought it inexpensive at Five Below, but if you have a Big Lots, Walmart, You can find them really anywhere. If you don't have wheels, a natural toned rug, or to bring a colorful pop- either a textured, colored, boho feel will have your space feeling like your own stylish sanctuary.

Shelving is a must for freeing up that much needed space. You want to get the most use from your walls. Put up some floating shelves, or cubical shelves, but any kind of shelving will do. You can even create space by stacking crates.





There are neat hanging organizers that are the most useful when dealing with a smaller space. It can serve as a great way to liven up your area with a touch of color and pop.
