STEAM on Demand

We hear this one a lot: "Video lessons mean more screen time."

We understand the concern because we care about screen time too.

That's why our videos are built for the educator. They guide pacing, discussion, and activity steps, so students spend their time building, testing, and talking with each other.

What STEAM myth do you hear most often?

You know that moment when a student's hand shoots up mid-lesson with a question you didn't see coming? That's why we built in automatic pauses. ⏸️

Every STEAM On Demand lesson provides a Guided Lab Experience:

▶️play the video,
⏸️ pause for conversation,
🧪lead the hands-on activity,

The interactive video supports you. The discovering belongs to your students.

It’s the final day of the BCGA 2026 Pacific Leadership Conference! 🚀

We’ve had a great time connecting with Boys & Girls Clubs of America leaders, exchanging ideas, and sharing how hands-on STEAM learning can create new opportunities for Club kids.

If you’re here in Huntington Beach, there’s still time to stop by, meet the STEAM on Demand team, and learn more about what we do. And don’t forget to ask us about our astronaut! 👨‍🚀

One of the best parts of this work? Watching educators get excited about hands-on STEM.

Our Chief Revenue Officer, Tom DeWitt, spent the day with Los Angeles Unified School District's Beyond the Bell team, leading a hands-on training on the Lung Model lesson from STEAM On Demand.

Using kits from School Specialty, staff built the model themselves. They also saw firsthand how our GLX video lessons guide instruction with built-in pauses, vocabulary, and step-by-step support. By the end, they were ready to bring the lesson to students in after-school programs.

Thank you to the Beyond the Bell LAUSD team for their enthusiasm and commitment to hands-on learning! We can't wait to see students learning by doing.

Your preschoolers are ready. Are you?

STEAM On Demand® Preschool Kits are built around the Guided Lab Experience (GLX), a Play, Pause, Learn™ approach where you and your students explore hands-on STEAM lessons together. The video guides the pace, sparks discussion, and walks your class through each activity step by step. The kit handles the materials.

"They get excited to see what's next." - Pre-K Educator
