But part of hiring an experienced bridal artist is also trusting us to tell you when something may not translate exactly the way you’re imagining.

Maybe the volume in your inspiration photo requires extensions.

Maybe wearing your hair down in Texas humidity isn’t going to give you the longevity you’re hoping for.

Maybe the perfectly smooth complexion you saved is edited or AI-generated, and real skin simply doesn’t behave that way.

That doesn’t mean the answer is just “no.”

It means we have a conversation.

“Here’s what I see.”

An inspiration photo can show us what you’re drawn to, but your preview is when your hairstylist actually gets to touch, feel and work with your hair.

We’re looking at your density. Your texture. Your length. How easily it holds a curl. Where you naturally have more or less fullness. And whether the shape and volume you love in your inspiration photo can realistically be created with your natural hair.

Sometimes it can.

Sometimes we recommend extensions, not necessarily for length, but for the fullness, structure or volume needed to create the look.

And sometimes we discover that a slightly different version of the inspiration will actually be more beautiful on you.

That’s part of the process.

Your bridal preview isn’t simply about recreating a Pinterest photo to see if you like it.

It’s where inspiration meets your actual hair, and we get to build the plan from there. 💓

The prettiest photo on your Pinterest board might not be the most helpful one. 💓

When you’re saving bridal inspiration, pay attention to more than the hair or makeup itself.

Look at the woman wearing it.

Does she have a similar skin tone? Eye shape? Hair color? Hair density? Texture? Length?

Because all of those things influence how that exact look translates.

That doesn’t mean you can’t bring us the photo you absolutely love. Please do. It tells us what you’re drawn to.

But we’re also going to look beyond the picture.

Maybe it’s actually the warmth of her makeup you love. The way her eyes are defined. The softness around her face. The amount of volume in her updo. Or how polished the entire look feels without looking overly done.

That’s the part we want to understand.

Then we take those elements and consider your coloring, your features, your hair and how you want to feel.

Because great bridal artistry isn’t about making you look exactly like the woman in your inspiration photo.

It’s understanding what you loved about her look and knowing how to make it beautiful on you. 💓
