📍Houston, TX

A rare sighting, but not uncommon at our retreat. ✨🏆

Bilateral drains after a breast reduction help remove fluid from each side while the tissue heals. They aren’t used in every case; placement depends on the procedure and your surgeon’s approach.

Drain care includes tracking output, keeping tubing secure, and following your surgical team’s instructions until removal.

Here, you’re seeing us strip the drain, a step that should be done multiple times daily. After surgeries like a tummy tuck, the body can produce 300–500 mL of fluid in the first 24 hours. 😯🩸

Stripping helps prevent clots, maintain suction, and reduce swelling and complications. JP drains require consistent care.

At OPK, every detail of recovery is monitored with medical precision and we also educate friends and family! 🏆

🎙️ Fibrosis—let’s talk about it.

That hardness, lumpiness, or uneven texture you may notice after surgery can be part of what’s happening beneath the surface.

Keri breaks down what fibrosis is, why it can develop after lipo or a tummy tuck, and the role proper aftercare plays throughout recovery.
