Earlier this evening my son Jeremiah was getting ready for his first day of work. He received a text from his supervisor stating that himself and HR had made a mistake regarding his hiring and paperwork. Well Jeremiah cleared everything up with Zachery the boss over the phone. Or so we thought, cause before hanging up with Jeremiah, Zach told him he would be starting Thursday instead of today. It was told to my son that he needed to turn in 3 forms of identification and send it to his email. Well Jeremiah did just that and sent a text to confirm it. Moments later my son Jeremiah received a text from Zachery stating that he was no longer interested in having him work there. And this came about because himself and HR failed to get my sons govt docs in the system. So they tried to offer him a position in December instead and he declined. Zachery then said if the documents were sent today everything would be cleared up and he could start Thursday. My son was very ecstatic to be having his first job. But we won’t stand for racism and discrimination in the workplace. My son will not be played with. Zachery at Zumiez in Memorial City shame on you for trying to discourage a child trying to earn his own living. Because my son stood up for himself as a young black man Zachery took his position as the manger for granted. Using the little power he had to try to tear down my son. Everyone needs to know who this man is and that he’s the epitome of a horrible boss, and horrible person. Make sure to read the text messages for clarity. And share this all over. Thank you. Ima stick beside my son and we gone keep job hunting for him.
