Sadly I’m starting to see trauma to the scalp way more frequently from new clients. The half up half down styles are doing a number on people.
Why? Mainly because the section of hair in the half part is waaay too small to take on such weight and tension! Couple that with doing this style on someone with fine strands, it’s really a receipt for disaster.

I’m no dermatologist but I do understand the science behind hair. When I see things like this I automatically refer to a dermatologist. Products in the market are a lot of times not enough.

If this happened to type of trauma to the follicles happened to you, did you recover? If so, how? She will go to see a dermatologist but for the time being help her out by sharing your experience.

We all have things we can do but we choose to delegate those tasks to someone that’s more efficient. I can clean my house but u choose not to. I can also wash my car but I choose not to. Just because you can and you want to doesn’t mean the same for someone else.
