Every year I tell you what a blessing you are, but it’s because it’s impossible to put into words just how much you mean to us. You have the kindest heart, a gentle spirit, and a love for others that shines so bright. You bring so much joy to our family simply by being you.
Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are today has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. The choices you’ve made, the way you love people, your strength, your character, and your faith make us so incredibly proud. When competing in figure skating, athletes are required to do their own makeup—even at a very young age. This talented young lady is only 10 years old and came in for a makeup lesson so she could learn how to apply her competition makeup herself.

In figure skating, judging isn’t based solely on skating ability. Competitors are also evaluated on their overall presentation, including their appearance, hairstyle, makeup, costume, and how well they complete their performance. It was such a pleasure helping her build the skills and confidence she’ll need both on and off the ice! In this small clip, you can see how we are teaching her how to do contouring.
