I’m excited to share my weight loss journey with you. Weight loss is a challenging journey and more of a marathon than a sprint. While there are ways to speed up the process, your “why” has to be bigger than the instant gratification.
My background in athletics has undoubtedly shaped my discipline and motivation, helping me through this process. Anyone who has played sports, especially at the collegiate level, understands what it takes to give their best. You don’t need to be an athlete to have this drive, but you do need to have a strong “why”.
Here are a few key factors that have helped me along the way:
**Picking a Hairstyle:**
I choose a hairstyle that’s easy and accommodates my active lifestyle. I often rotate between braids and clip-ins, which work well with my workouts.
**Trainer:**
Having a trainer serves as my accountability partner. I truly value health and wellness, and it’s important for me to have someone guiding my workouts. With a home gym, I receive my workout plan, complete it, and report back, which keeps me motivated. *ask for Marvin
**Wardrobe:**
Due to weight gain, many items in my closet no longer fit, yet I refuse to buy anything that doesn’t support the size I aspire to be. My daily uniform consists of fleece knee shorts and either a short or long sleeve shirt paired with Yeezys! I know this approach may seem extreme to some, for me, it’s a source of motivation.
