My page isn’t a safe space for adults to refer to little black girls as “grown”. The first thing the baby client’s say when they get color is “I look like (insert their favorite cartoon here). Their innocent minds don’t see what yall see.

Ameena is an honor roll student and one of the most well-mannered, respectful little girls you’ll ever meet! She’s so vibrant and full of personality, her mom and I love to do all that we can to pour into her so she continues to grow up confidently!

Every time yall call a baby “grown” or “fast” for a little bit of self expression, you’re stripping that innocence and imagination away from them! And my salon NOR my social media platforms are a safe space for that😉

A lot of people say the don’t get silk presses because they never last….but what if I told you they don’t last because you spend more time avoiding your hair than you do wearing it out and pouring into it!

A good, lasting silk press is the result of hard work! Which is why some people are even able to manage presses during the hot and humid months!

And actually, that’s DOCTOR JASMINE TO US! My girl has been finishing up a medical degree, which is why she has been so busy and not able to sit in my chair as often as she normally does.

Color is always something people are looking to receive. But unfortunately, I’m not a stylist who green-lights color easily. Because it has the potential to ruin hair, I’m very selective about whose hair I color. A lot of people say I’m leaving money on the floor, I look at it as I’m protecting my brand. I’m never going to do anything that I feel will be bad for your hair in the long run.
