Black Lives Matter. Where would I be without the support of my friends and family.
In light of recent events, I have been taking time away posting. For me it seemed a little tone deaf, and not that the movement is anywhere near over, but I’d like to get back to celebrating the work of a black artist. Myself.

Something Edgy. Back in the salon and already getting to express my creative side! I’m so excited to be back in the salon and safe.
This client is in the process of growing out her shorter sides. We opted for some braids on the sides and some super cute Bantu knots she can wear or take down and have gorgeous texture!

Funny story. A few months prior to this haircut She came in with hair to the middle of her back and terrified of cutting it in fear or getting a bad haircut. So I took her in stages. First we cut it just below her shoulders, then we cut it to a low pixie, then she finally came back and was like just take it off. So here we are. Fear is gone and she’s loving her short cut!
All that to say, fear is about perspective. Take the leap and you won’t regret it. It’s okay to take baby steps👣 @ Houston, Texas

Copper tones.
We toned her hair and added some highlights to blend and brighten. Highlights doesn’t always mean mean blonde.

Subtle transformations. We gave this beauty some highlights to brighten her up. I finished her with a blunt haircut and some curls.
