Some people chew 1–2 Tums about 20 minutes before their appointment. The idea is it can take the edge off extra sensitivity (especially if you’ve had coffee). It lowers the acidity in your body and makes your skin less reactive It’s an optional comfort tip — not a magic pain eraser.
What actually makes a Brazilian easier:
• Hair about ¼ inch (grain of rice)
• Skip coffee and alcohol the day of
• No lotion/oil on the area that morning
• Ibuprofen 30–45 min before if you can take it
• Wear loose cotton home
