Building Foil together has been such a great honor, and so much of what makes it special exists because of you. Your loyalty, your humor, your strength, and your love are woven into every corner of this space.

Also… thank you for being the calm to my chaos, and sometimes the chaos to my calm! The voice of reason, the “let’s do one more thing,” and for sending me 47 ideas in the middle of the night. 😆

🫶🏼 Bam

Lately I’ve felt a little uncomfortable posting ‘normal’ content.

There is so much happening in the world, and I never want to come across as disconnected, indifferent, or unaware.

My heart is, and always will be, with people.
With safety. With community. With equality. With human rights.

I’m also a hairstylist, an educator, and a small business owner building something I care deeply about. And sometimes those things feel complicated to hold at the same time.

But I don’t believe education, creativity, and joy are the opposite of caring.
I believe they’re part of it.

So I’ll keep showing up.
With intention. With honesty. With heart.
And with light, even while things feel heavy.

Because two things can exist at once.

A little over ten years ago, I said yes to a brand that I had no idea would change my entire life.

Since then, Redken has given me more than education. It gave me people. Friendships. Mentors. Opportunities. Confidence. A community that made me believe there was more for me than just surviving behind the chair.

Because of I grew into the stylist I am. The educator I am. The leader I am. And now… the salon owner I am.

In November I took a chance on myself. The Redken Artist Mentorship Program is an opportunity to step into the next level.

This week, I found out I was selected as 1 of 10 haircolor artists for the Redken Artist Mentorship Program.

And all I can think about is little Bambi, the one who took risks, moved scared, said yes before she felt ready, stayed late, traveled far, invested when it was uncomfortable, and believed that passion plus hard work could actually build a life.

She would be so proud. I am so proud. 🫶🏼

I am endlessly grateful for the last decade, and incredibly excited for what’s next. Thank you to every person, class, stage, conversation, failure, win, and friendship that got me here.
