I was busy all weekend with the Hudson Hot Air Affair. I hope anyone who came out to see all the activities had a fantastic time. I know I had an amazing time this weekend. Seeing those balloons inflate and fly away is the best feeling, this is what we work so hard for and love this event so much.

Pete and Jacob are a 2-generation team with a long history at HHAA. Pete’s a former Hot Air Affair Balloonmeister who’s a technical director of the Loparex plant in Hammond. Pete’s been flying for about 30 years and has logged about 400 hours as pilot in command. Jacob’s following in his dad’s footsteps as a pilot and this is his first official participation in HHAA though he’s grown up attending the winter event in Hudson with his family.

Ahoy all ye Treasure Hunters, we don’t want anyone freezing their barnacles in this cold Croix-ribbean air. So, the next HAA Treasure Hunt clue will be postponed until this Friday at 8 a.m.

Happy Monday! I hope everyone is keeping warm? Over the next couple of days we will be experiencing some VERY cold temperatures and we will be positing some reminders and tips to deal with that. I found this little reminder and it says the snow we will be recieving over the weekend but obviously that missed us! Still very good food for thought. Be safe everyone!

Yes it will be cold early this week. And everyone should dress warm. Forecast is for the weekend to warm up to the teens to 30's.

The Fred G. Monster hot air balloon is asking for local help since this is Fred's first winter trip to Hudson, WI in the cold winter.

Thus, to be stylish, Fred is in need of a Winter Bomber Hat in size 74 XL. While plaid accent is preferred, (Fred's favorite clothing accent color) if you have a size 74 XL Winter Bomber Hat laying around the house, Fred would be appreciative for using it and staying warm at the community's premier winter event.
