There are moments behind the chair that remind me why I love what I do so much ❤️
Today I got to give this little guy his 1st birthday haircut and first cut ever!! It was such a full-circle moment. I started doing Dad’s hair when he was just 17 years old… then I got to meet the love of his life and gained another amazing client and friend, and now I have the honor of being part of their family’s milestones. From one chapter to the next, I’ve been lucky enough to be there for so many moments — and now I get to watch their little one grow. 🥹
One of my favorite things about being a stylist is building those lifelong relationships. It’s never “just a haircut.” It’s trust, comfort, memories, and watching families grow.
A big part of making salon visits positive for kids is starting young. When children are introduced to the salon in a fun, relaxed way, it becomes a familiar place instead of something scary. The chair, the sounds, the cape, the experience — all become part of their routine and something they can look forward to.
Here’s to first haircuts, birthday memories, and getting to be a small part of your family’s story.

Soft layers + rich dimension + the perfect bangs = effortless beauty.

SWIPE FOR THAT BEFORE
Less grey stress, more glow
We transitioned from high-maintenance root coverage to a softer, dimensional blonde that blends greys instead of chasing them.
✨ Lived-in color = fewer appointments
✨ Brighter, blended dimension
✨ Softer grow-out (no harsh lines!)
If you’re tired of the 3–4 week root touch-up cycle, this is your sign to go lighter and let your color work with you, not against you 🤍

Let’s talk real life hair for teens!
Not everyone wants to be in the salon every 6–8 weeks—and that’s OK.
For my girls who only come in once or twice a year, high-contrast foils and heavy face frames can grow out fast and feel harsh. Instead, I love creating a softer, more natural blend that grows out seamlessly and still looks beautiful months later.
Think:
• Lived-in color
• Soft dimension
• Low maintenance, high impact
Real example 🤍
We did a full foil of babylights back in mid-January, and this week we kept it simple—just a soft face frame and a few foils across her part to refresh the entire look. No major overhaul needed, just small, intentional steps to bring everything back to life. Then the fabulous Kat Sylvester did a chop chop to keep the length healthy.
With spring and summer ahead, she’ll naturally pick up even more lightness from the sun and I likely won’t see her again for another 6 months or more—so this plan keeps her hair looking fresh the entire time.
This approach also allows young girls (on their parents’ dime 😉) to consistently look put together—instead of one big, high-impact appointment that leaves them feeling over-processed and growing out bleached hair for the rest of the year.

There’s just something about a soft, lived-in blonde.
I kept this one dimensional and natural with a bright face frame and a blend that will grow out so effortlessly. My favorite kind of color—low maintenance but still feels fresh.
If you’ve been thinking about lightening things up for spring/summer, this is your sign
