Everything has gone wrong. My client silk press reverts while sitting in the chair. What went wrong? Humidity, untamed hair, and moisture from sweating, are all factors.

A great silk press have to be done on well moisturized, healthy hair.

If hair reverted after applying: leave in conditioner, serum, and heat protectant on saturated hair and is fully blow drying, your client hair desperately needs some TLC. Heat is not the best option for straightening this clients hair.

Excessive hair shedding:
First, ask your doctor for a CBC test to check your iron levels. Excessive hair shedding can be caused by anemia, which is a low iron count.

Thinning:
Consider healthier solutions for managing hypertension, especially regarding blood pressure medications. Consult your doctor, as your medication dosage may be too high.
Taking medication will cause hair to thin.

Balding:
Hereditary factors and family history can play a significant role in balding at a certain age. Early prevention is crucial. Taking supplements, such as DHT blockers, may help reduce this process by keeping hair follicles open. However, it is essential to consult your doctor before starting any supplements, especially if you have existing medical conditions, are taking medication, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Alopecia:
Early treatments are essential. If you are experiencing tension alopecia, consider finding a new hairstyle. It’s important to seek a hairstylist or trichologist who can identify the problem and treat it promptly.

Scalp Issues:
Consulting a dermatologist is the best choice for addressing skin issues like psoriasis.

Hair breakage? Yes...
There could be a plethora of reasons why your hair is breaking.
First you have to determine the difference between shedding and breaking.
Let's talk breakage.
What cause breakages:
Diet, Heat damage, dryness, vitamin D deficiency, and products.
When you go to your stylist please understand your stylist is not a magician with the ability to trick your hair back into health after one or two visits.
Go to your salon knowing that it's a process and can take months before you start to see results. Importantly you and your stylist have to find a plan and stick to it. Through your hair care journey you have to determine what works and be patient in the process.

If your breakage is causing unevenness. I would suggest a trim, blunt cut, or drastic cut that will allow the hair to flourish in a more healthier state.
Hair that is breaking due to medication, vitamin deficiencies may not see significant salon results until those health concerns are addressed.
