My client received her 2nd CIT treatment (micro-needling) today to improve skin texture and tone. After numbing her skin with a numbing creme, I used a micro needling pen that punctured the top layer of skin with tiny needles, encouraging the skin to create new collagen and elastin, as well as help it look plump, smooth, and healthy. In addition to signaling the body’s natural healing process and stimulating collagen and elastin production, CIT also helps topical skincare products pe*****te deeper into the dermis. Our serum of choice was hyalaronic acid. Her skin was quite red after treatment so I applied a Peptide sheet mask afterwards to calm the skin down. The inflammation subsided after two hours. Our client came in on October 16th(before photo) to receive his first Keloidalis Nuchae treatment. The after photo was taken on Jan 14th. He came in every 2-3 weeks and used home care products to treat his condition. Keloidalis Nuchae primarily affects the nape area of the neck and is a form of follicular inflammation. Solution: 4-8 week treatment Causes: heavy handed barbers, harsh clippers, close razor shaving and going to multiple barbers that don't practice good sanitation habits. Wearing hats, scarves, wool coats, dress shirt collars, and wave caps can worsen the irritation and inflammation. Using greasy and oily petroleum-based products can clog pores as well as salt from sweating.
