With Love & Embers

It’s no secret that 2020 was a year, it took all of us by storm. Many, like us, took time to re-evaluate their lives, how they spend their time, what they do for a living, and what makes them truly happy. Literally, we all looked at everything with a magnifying glass.

Last year was hard, it’s been hard personally on me emotionally, mentally, and physically. I’ve thought about my future (our future) in a way that honestly I never thought I would. It made me take a hard look at what I actually need in my life, and even more at what I no longer need.

With that, we’ve decided to make a really difficult decision. This choice has not been made lightly, and it’s been made with both of our needs and wants in mind. We’ve taken everything in our lives into consideration and with that we’ve decided to step away from With Love & Embers.

It’s been a crazy amazing ride, one we are so grateful to have had. A ride we will look back on fondly and with so much love in our hearts, but we’ve also sacrificed so much and given so much of ourselves to this business that we no longer feel we can. So after 2021, we will no longer be taking on any weddings, period. No exceptions, even postponements. We’ve had to put our lives on hold for a year now and we can no longer do it for our own mental health. We had goals to be slowing down last year, but with Covid we had to shift our plans to make sure our couples were fully taken care of and felt  loved during such a hard time. We’ve given everything we’ve got to accommodate and now we need to focus on ourselves, our needs, and our growing family. Putting ourselves first has never been a priority when it’s come to our business and we’re ready to change that.

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their love and support. It’s hard to believe that we are ending this chapter in our lives, but we are excited for what the future will hold for us. We will most likely not be posting on this account. For now, we have no plans in place and are just going to listen to our own needs and the universe. Today feels like there is a darkness that’s been lifted, and finally some positivity, hopefulness, and light are starting to shine through! Congratulations to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris!!! I’m so proud to see a female Vice President take office!!! Here’s to a more caring, empathetic, and compassionate leader during a time when we need it most!

Ps. I think we should all send a s**t load of smudge sticks to the White House so they can cleanse all of that negative energy away ✌🏼

Currently missing those warm summer days filled with exploration and beautiful bo***ir sessions!!! Looking forward to hopefully more this year, even if I have to waddle around to capture them 😂 Happy Sunday everyone 🖤

2020 was an intense year, but one positive thing came out of it for us, our rainbow baby!!! It’s been a difficult journey but we cannot wait to welcome our little one into the world in July. An adventure we are both excited and terrified to go on, but sure to be our greatest one yet!

This is just a friendly reminder to get the f**k out of your own head! It’s an easy place to get lost in, thoughts whirling around of self doubt and negativity. It can be a dark, lonely place, and with how 2020 is shaping up it can be an even darker place. Remember you’re a light that this world needs, and it’s all only temporary no matter how bad it feels. You are also not alone and everyone... I mean everyone (no matter how perfect their social media looks) has those moments of doubt and self criticism. You got this 🖤
