Hello everyone! Nice to be back after taking off July. Hapy 250th to those stateside! This month I’m focusing on sea kelp and sea algae. Both are great for the skin. For younger skin it helps keep that youthful firmness and healthy glow. For more mature skin it can help with fine lines and wrinkles over time. My favorit sea kelp prouduct is Sea el’s Sea Kelp eye cream. Especially for the lids.

Monthly Tip: With summer quickly approaching, it may be time to trade in or put aside the heavy moisturizers for something lighter. However if you live in SoCal we are experiencing a lot of winds along the coast so don’t put them away just yet. If you are a beef tallow user you may want to switch to a whipped beef tallow for the warmer months. But most importantly…keep moisturizing!

Happy National SPF Day! Always remember the SPF 365 days a year, especially on your face! These are two of my favorite brands for the body. There are several great ones for the face including two of my favorites, PCA and Shiseido, both backed by the American Skin Cancer Society. A plus for PCA is that it has has protection against UVA, UVB, and UVR (computers & cell phones). Use your YUKA app to find the best for you.

We are in the season if shedding the old and welcoming the new. This means exfoliating is more important then ever. Exfoliating not only helps our skin to look and feel more refreshed, it helps our products to absorb much better, so we can see the benefits of what they are intended to do. Don’t forget to exfoliate all of your skin, face and body. WARNING : Do not over exfoliate! One to two times a week is perfect.

It’s Spring! It’s beautiful weather in most places, and that means get outdoors. Something as simple as a walk at the beach, a park, a trail is good for your body, soul, mind and skin. If you live in the city you may even discover a new boutique, spa or cafe. Just remember your SPF!

Our last WOW of the week is legendary Lucille Ball. Actress, comedian, producer, studio owner, mother and wife. She was a trailblazer, a first in many areas of not just showbiz, but the business world. She accomplished so much with style, grace and even some grit. All the while maintaining a loving and generous nature to Beth the family she came from and the family she created. So many reasons why we Love Lucy! ❤️

This week’s WOW is Maya Angelou. I first read I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings as an assignment in college. I fell in love with Maya’s bravery and honestly, as well as her will to preserve. As Maya has grown older she only becomes more and more wise. Her generosity of sharing her wisdom and talent, not just with women of all ages, but with all people around the world.is why we respect and admire her.

This week’s WOW is Christie Henderson. Not only a leader of paving the road for women in rock, but for her activism. Christie has been a major force when it comes to protecting animal rights. She has worked with PETA and countless other animal groups. She has also raised two strong daughters who follow in their famous mom’s footsteps when it comes to activism. Christie thank you!

March is Women’s Month, so every Wednesday we’ll be featuring a Woman of the Week (WOW). Sorry this one is a week late, allergies had me down.
Frieda Khalo was not only a great talent, but a woman of great strength. Although she grew up in a somewhat privileged artistic family, she suffered much tragedy and heartbreak, but it did not break her, it only made her stronger. She became a star in what was considered a “man’s” profession. She was the first of her kind, a trailblazer and a lasting legend. 🇲🇽
