My hair went from meh to MWAH with Aveda thickening foam and light hold hair spray. Who knew volume was this easy?

1/2 "I went to hair school for a year and a half, and I have literally done my hair and stuff since I was in middle school. Nails just came naturally with it. It's just something that has always been part of what I love. So I've always done my nails. We've always been DIY people at home, never wanted to go to a salon. I like to create that kind of stuff at home, so when this type of product came into the market, years ago, I dabbled with all the new stuff. Nail dip powder just spoke to me. It was exactly what I had been looking for for a very long time.

I wanted all the glitter and just crazy glam, the crazy colors, the bite you in the face glitters. That's kind of what we were looking for, but we were just finding a lot of “here's a pretty shimmer” and it just wasn't blingy enough. So selfishly we were like, well, we could just make our own. We did enough research that we were able to do it, and then we were like, well, we could just sell it too! Some of these companies that we were originally buying from, not all of them, but some of them the bigger ones, they do white label. They're buying them prejarred, premade, they just go through a catalogue, pick out what they want, add their brand to the jar, and ship it. We don't do anything close to that. We do it all ourselves. It’s a lack of creativity on their end, which is why we couldn't find what we wanted. We buy all raw material and mix it out of our own creation, out of our own mind. We look up color palettes here and there to make things match."

1/2 "I had two younger gals in from Fort Wayne, and as it happened, and it sometimes does happen, I get kindred spirit people. Like these were notebook and paper people, and tea people and, you know, I get the ones that I'm like, okay, you're my new best friend. And they were talking about going somewhere for tacos and I pointed right across the street!

We talked about the bookstore and we talked about the candy store and then the one girl was laughing and she said, “well, I just need to move to Huntington” and I said, “I have an apartment that's open!” And the fun thing, when I heard them walk out, the one turned to the other and she said, “I want to move here.”

I was like, okay, that's one of coolest compliments because you met that niche market and they saw it. You know, kindred spirits, notebook and book people, but still, they saw it. They got the experience, so that's like that's half the battle for sure. And they'll bring friends.

When you leave somebody with that experience and they say “I gotta bring my mom back here”, that's so cool. That was really cool to hear her say that when they walked out."
