Talk about MOTIVATION—What steps would you take to not have to take any medication anymore? This process works and she is the proof.

Through out our journey’s called life we have many choices to make and those choices take us down different roads. Some roads lead to success and other’s- ROADBLOCKS.

This girls right here is celebrating two years of making choices that have lead her to success with her health and wellness.

Before Emily started her journey with me and our Accountability group, she found herself stressed, frustrated, not sleeping right, having take medicine for her migranes, and having to take medication for her acne. She lacked energy and just couldn’t gain the momentum to stay consistent.

With the right tools and the right support, Emily has consistently shown up to work towards her goals. Through this journey she has gained so much inner strength and outer strength, she NO LONGER has to take any medications for migranes or acne, she has lots of energy and feels great.

We know that every journey is going to throw ROADBLOCKS our way, but Emily has learned to not allow the roadblocks to stop her, but to just look in a different direction.

I am so thankful you trusted your journey with me and even more thankful to call you my friend. Happy 2 year anniversary Emily. You ROCK!!!!!

p.s. Can’t wait for summit this year with you!!

We motivate and support each other by holding each other accountable. it often becomes routine and familiar when we let ourselves down,but its not so easy to let let down others especially when you are on a daily check-in. it makes it that much harder to skip a work out or continue an unhealthy practice.

Finally getting a few minutes to work on some final touches for my upcoming FREE group. I am so excited to spend the week with you and learning the benefits of BEING in the PRESENT moment.

I am sure many of you can relate to this: As a FULL time working mom of three young children I am often spread very thin. Thankfuly I have always been able to multi-task, but sometimes the NEEDS just don't STOP coming at me. There are times that my brain feels like a hamster on it's wheel, but for a week or two straight.

I am sure you are looking forward to a nice weekend. Doing anything fun? I hope that you are finding some time to relax and enjoy the warm weather and time with people you want to spend it with. There are always so many stressful things coming at us it can feel very overwhelming at times so I figured that for this week's Health Tip of the Week I would write about how to change the way we look at things....cause if you let yourself see things in a negative light most of the time then every day can become a chore.

6 Tips for Changing the Way We Look at Things

1. Look for the positive in each situation

Often we tend to see events that impact us negatively in the worst possible light. But if you can find a positive spin to put on it you may see things differently. It might not even turn out to be about you.

2. Look at each new day as an adventure.

If you allow yourself to wake up feeling wonderment at what life brings you that day and ready to embrace whatever lessons you might get that day it can change your whole attitude.!

3. Allow the improbable to become possible.

It’s easy to get caught up in seeing difficult things as impossible. But when you stop and think about it, every impossible thing begins with a seed of possibility that requires you to stretch your boundaries to achieve.

So what would happen if you allowed yourself to suspend disbelief and changed your perspective to view the improbable or impossible and something you could achieve?

One of the areas I’ve found this works is in my attempts to lose weight. As soon as I switched my perspective from dieting and deprivation to clean eating and making lifestyle changes, what I thought was an impossible goal is slowly becoming a reality. Why can't you live the life you want? Who is really stopping you?

4. Change your perception of other people.

This is similar to the first point, but I’ll be the first to admit that it’s not easy to do. We get an idea of what someone should be like, formed from gut instincts and first impressions, and it’s not always easy to change that.

The other time it pays to change how you look at people is if you’ve been upset or hurt by someone. Sometimes it’s intentional, but often it’s not and we can hold on to a lot of resentment and negative energy that keeps us stuck because we’re not willing to let go of it.

When you see things in a more positive light, consider that they were having a bad day, and that it had nothing to do with you. If you can let go of the hurt and not hold a grudge you can change the way you react to that person, and change your own life at the same time. They might not even be aware that you’ve been hurt by their actions because it was never about you in the first place! As the saying goes, the only person that gets hurt by you holding on is you.

5. Keep an open mind.

In order to grow and move forward, you have to meet new people and get involved in new situations. Life stands still if you’re not open to change. And believe me, as someone who let their life stand still for years… it’s not much fun.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is keep an open mind and just take a leap into the unknown. Your best ideas may come from being open to change and hearing other people’s perspectives.

5. Avoid falling back into your old patterns.

The trick to changing the way you see things is to not allow yourself to fall back on your old perceptions of how things should be. For example, if you’re trying to see your life in a more positive light, then looking at people and events through the lens of negativity is not going to help you move forward.

If you practice these tips to change your perspective, the things you look at in your life will also change. Best of all, perhaps, is that you will discover the power you have over your own life and emotions, and this will give you the confidence to live the best possible life you can.

When you’re tempted to fall back into your old way of seeing, remember this:

You may not be sure what Clean Eating really means. With all the fitness and nutrition “buzzwords” flying around out there, it can definitely be confusing. Most people agree that Clean Eating at its most basic definition means eliminating processed foods, additives, preservatives and artificial sugars from their diet. Basically, you’re eating whole, unrefined foods (if it’s straight from Mother Nature, you’re good!). Since you’re avoiding anything that has been altered in any way, your diet will be filled with whole grains, fruits, veggies and other wholesomely nutritious foods. Since 70-80% of your fitness results come from the foods you eat, clean eating is a crucial part of your success!

Often times we start new health and fitness goals for the wrong reason. Summer is coming, I want to fit in that bikini , etc. those are short term whys.

It wasn't until I decided on my WHY that I was TRULY able to work towards my goal. My goal was to always be fit, healthy, and energetic.

My WHY now is because I want to be able to go on trips, hikes, walks etc with my children. I want to show them as much as possible in the time I am with them.

When I gain weight my confidence goes down which makes me not try new things. Once I figured out my why- I was able break through that wall that stopped me for years.
