I’ve always wanted Alchemy&Mirth to be a cozy, inviting place where you can let your hair down, and this new location feels perfect 🙂

After a week of catching up, Alchemy and Mirth will once again open its doors for regular business operations on Monday April 14th.
I can’t express how much the kindness, love and support we have received over the past couple of weeks has meant to us. Thank you❤️

Alchemy and Mirth is closed at this time due to the devastating passing of my sweet, wonderful husband. We are lost. I appreciate your patience during this time and I promise to be in touch as soon as possible.

Good morning friends, as many of you know my father passed last week, so I would like to thank you all for your understanding and all of the wonderful words of support I have received during this difficult time. As with all deaths and especially unexpected ones, we are as a family grieving and doing our best to sort out Dad's affairs as well.
That being said I realize a new school year is right around the corner so I will be back in the shop Friday and Saturday for all of you Teachers and kiddos. Please message me here or text for an appointment 📚✏️🎨🎒

Alrighty, I have begun to book clients, beginning with folks who were cancelled due to closing and then by order of people who have reached out since. As we cautiously ease into the "new normal", I am approaching this like a soft opening, and all appointments will be made by phone/text for now.
I just want to keep us all safe, so there are changes to service as designated by the state board, and other changes I am instituting out of an abundance of caution for your health and mine. It is possible that some of these will soften as time goes by but for now, I appreciate your understanding and patience as I do what I feel is necessary to keep you feeling pretty AND healthy☺️

New Guidelines

Please wait in your car for your appointment , the waiting area is closed. Call/text when you arrive (256)542-8710 and I will meet you at the door.

Please come alone, state regulations require one client per stylist .

Temps will be taken with a contactless thermometer to make sure everyone is healthy.

Hand sanitizer will be offered upon entering.

In the interest of everyone's safety, masks are required for everyone. Please bring one with you.

In the interest of limiting exposure, I will be trying to expedite services as quickly as I can, to get people in and out, by limiting chit chat, shampoos and abbreviating hairdrying/styling as much possible. Obviously that will not be possible for color/highlight services but for haircuts please come in with clean hair if possible.

More precautions that I am taking for your safety:

With each client
There is only one client per stylist
I change capes, neck strips.
I disinfect all combs and brushes
I sterilize all scissors, clippers and thinning shears
I wipe down doors...front and bathroom and barber chair.
Masks are mandatory for me and all clients (please bring one for your appointment)

There is no one allowed in the waiting area

There is no magazine, candy or anything that others can handle.

No walk ins, No exceptions

Please reschedule if you are exhibiting any symptoms of illness, have been sick within the last 14 days or if you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for covid-19/has exhibited any syptoms within the last 2 weeks.

There is a salon-wide increase of $5 to cover costs.

This is a requirement by the state Barber Board.

I love my job and I love all of you, these changes are to keep us all safe and healthy❤️
