A reminder to all new inquiring clients, under no circumstances will I take MAGA supporters or ICE supporters.
You are not welcome in my space and I will personally ensure you are black listed with all the stylists in this area who feel the same as I do.
Oh and if you’re wondering how I’ll know you’re an undercover n**i, I background check all new clients via socials.

I’m trying to give up the idea of certain things not being “good enough” to post but like….the world is on fire. If I find it gorgeous or it makes me smile then that’s more than good enough. So enjoy a look into what the last 2 1/2 months of salon life has looked like while I moved the salon to a new location😅

To celebrate I'm closing...

Area 52 Hair Lab opened its door (singular. Ha!) 5 years ago as of tomorrow and will be closing its door in 10 days....

That's right, I'm closing down shop.
Because, drumroll please, the salon is upgrading!
Get ready for way more space, a change of location and my favorite part. A WINDOW! You already know the air is gonna be so clean with all the plants I'm about to put by that window. Since this upgrade comes with a change of location the salon will be closed for two weeks (June 25th- July 9th) and I will be reaching out to clients who booked appointments during that time frame.

*All appointments scheduled for before June 25th will still be at the current location: Midtowne Salon Suites, 844 slaughter Rd.
*All appointments scheduled for after July 9th will be at Westlawn Offices (formerly Westlawn Middle school): 4217 9th Ave SW, Huntsville

I will be reaching out to clients who booked appointments for after July 9th to remind them of the address change we week of their appointment as well. I'm aware this will change your typical commute times so please remember to check the distance beforehand and adjust accordingly.

I'm deeply grateful for this change and excited for the opportunities and growth this new chapter will bring for Area 52.

Pride is a demand to be free, seen, and loved.
It is a joy that refuses to die.
Q***r joy has been the magic that keeps Area 52 running for the last few years. Being able to provide a space of joy, safety, and inclusivity for north Alabamas q***r community is truly the crowning jewel of my career in my eyes.

Every June I like to offer discounts on vivids to my clients as a way to celebrate pride and this year Im dedicated to a summer full of colorful hair, q***r joy and good trouble.

From June 1st until August 31st, Area 52 will be offering discounts on vivid services. At the end of each month, 5% of that month’s profits will be donated to local non profit organization.

Full and partial vivid services will be 20% off (with the exception of galactic glowups)
Any full rainbow or other pride flag inspired vivid services will be 30% off (trans, pan, bi, le***an, etc.)

•Junes profits will be donated to shenanigans diversity center. Shenanigans is a local non profit theatre that works heavily in providing support and resources to the LGBTQ community of north Alabama.
•Julys profits will be donated to the Alabama coalition for immigrant justice. The ACIJ works to ensure the right and dignity of all people by pushing for just policies, encourage grassroots leadership, building alliances, and amplifying the voices and contributions of immigrants In Alabama.
•Augusts organization is TBA
