I would like to share with you my passion for essential oils and goodies made with them - from soaps to natural laundry detergent, from bath bombs to bug spray. I encourage you to switch from artificial fragrances and colorants to what Mother Nature is providing - oils from botanicals, healing clays and others. Having a Russian background, I grew up with my grandmother teaching me about different

This week, our Lavender Lemongrass Soap is in the spotlight! Lavender and lemongrass essential oils support healthy skin and a calm, clear mind with additional benefits from our colorants: pink kaolin clay, colloidal oatmeal, and alkanet root powder.
Lavender, beloved by many for its cooling, calming, and mood-enhancing effects, has been used to promote skin health and healing for centuries. Lavender is known to help repel insects and can help soothe bug bites!
Refreshing lemongrass also promotes healthy skin through its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. Its astringency helps cleanse and tone the skin. Lemongrass is uplifting, relaxing, and restorative to the mind.
Colloidal oatmeal is skin-soothing, anti-inflammatory, and promotes a healthy skin microbiome. Pink kaolin clay is a gentle clay colorant that works as a mild exfoliant and cleanses the skin of impurities, leaving your skin soft. Alkanet root powder, our other natural colorant, is derived from a Mediterranean relative of borage and has been used since the ancient Greeks to promote healing and healthy skin.
All of these benefits can be found in our feel-good Lavender Lemongrass Soap, the perfect bar for radiant summer skin! Available at our markets and on our website:

Our freshly made Myrrh soap features Myrrh essential oil, Turmeric powder and Colloidal oats. https://seriouslysimplesoap.square.site/product/link/44
Centuries of spiritual, healing, and cosmetic use stand behind myrrh’s warm, sweet-earthy, deep and rich, resinous aroma. It was revered throughout the ancient Middle Eastern and Mediterranean worlds, and myrrh continues to be valued in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and modern herbalism and aromatherapy. An ingredient of the legendary Egyptian perfume known as “kyphi,” we formulated the exotic and anti-inflammatory myrrh into this grounding, skin-soothing soap. Myrrh supports general healing and healthy, glowing mature skin, strengthens immunity, soothes an overactive mind, and aids relaxation.
Turmeric root has been popular in wellness circles for years, but its uses go beyond golden milk and dietary supplements. This popular natural skincare ingredient used to brighten skin, reduce acne, fade scars, and combat inflammation due to its active compound, curcumin.
Finally, colloidal oats boost the benefits of myrrh soap with its soothing, nourishing, and anti-inflammatory properties that support a healthy skin barrier. They help ease minor skin irritations and itchiness. What makes colloidal oats so special, you wonder? Colloidal oats are oats that have been powdered into a fine grain, then boiled. This simple process unlocks oats’ moisturizing and skin-healing benefits. You can even make them at home (!), but you can keep it seriously simple with our myrrh soap.
I love how this soap’s smell somehow becomes more complex when exposed to warm water. It seems to gently open up my breathing in the shower and ease my tense shoulders while making my skin feel soft and healthy. All of the good, nothing less.
