I'm Dena Shipley, California born & raised - but Texas now owns ;) wife, grateful mommy to 3 beautiful girls - Taylor & Ciara Kopetski, and our most newest member to the Shipley family Kayden Bryn Shipley, handmade business owner, blogger, retired photographer, lover of beautiful fabrics and handmade fun, colorful, unique, useful everyday items!

Southern Yellow Poppy named after my love of the color yellow and my home state flower the California Poppy (seen everywhere around my little home town of Antioch in the spring). I started Southern Yellow Poppy out of my love to create; inherited from my exceptionally creative mom! Since retiring from photography after many grueling years, I cannot stifle my craving to create beautiful things. I have recently created some super fun, beautiful, chic, functional pieces that I hope everyone loves using them as much as I do!
