Let's talk about Tutorials vs Classes!

Where are you learning how to care for your skin and enhance your appearance with makeup? Tutorials or one-on-one/group classes- learn more about the Pros and Cons of each to decide which one is best for you.

🤫 I'm partial to classes, but maybe that's just because my make class attendees are awesome😉 Message me for more class (1on1 or group) info!

Tutorials are usually posted online through social media, easily accessible to the public, and are free. They're great for learning simple techniques, tricks, or trends and are a great place for beginners to start dabbling in makeup.

However, they can't take into consideration individual face/eye/mouth/nose/brow shapes, skin type/texture, or specific concerns and questions. In short, they lack a personal touch.

Classes are usually offered in-person or through a controlled-access online platform and have some cost associated with the level of teaching offered. They can cover a wide range of topics, address specific questions/concerns quickly, and provide a much more customized experience.

However, if the classes are in person, they may not be accessible to as many people and often require an investment cost to attend, which may not be doable for someone just starting out or trying makeup as a hobby.

It all depends on what you're looking for!

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's when a "professional" ✨that's anyone paid to do a service✨ can't, won't, or doesn't match their client's skin tone AND undertone!

I notice mis-matched necks, chests, and faces on TV, in person, photos, movies, and videos.😬😬 Yikes!!

What good is using expensive foundations and powders if they don't include a shade/undertone range to adequately service your customers? And banana powder isnt for everyone's undereyes!!

No thanks😒...I'll take drugstore brands that make the things I need to do the job I'm hired for and do it well! Technique is the key- and if you have that, it won't matter how much the bottle of foundation cost you.

And if you can't find all the colors within one brand, don't be afraid to look at other brands to incorporate.
