Because in the end… all we have left are the photos that bring the memories back to life.

In the end it’s the memories that make the quiet days and the broken hearts feel the laughter and joy that that loved one brought to life.

Take the pictures.

Take the videos.

Make the memories.

Yesterday was the second Thursday in a row that I attended a funeral and celebrated the life of a friend/ family of friends, & people who have positively impacted our community.

The dash matters.

The man you see pictures in the bright coral shirt was called home and leaves behind this giant family and others who were unable to make the impromptu photo session. He was a hilarious man, a kind and giving man who loved his family and everyone he met!!

His sister in law and niece wanted to make sure these special photos were taken as they grasped what their families reality would be soon without him here.

It’s wasn’t “just a tan” they booked with … it was the tan that would make them feel beautiful and keep them from crying as they took these family photos.

It was the tan that will hang on their walls for the rest of their lives as they keep memories going of Uncle Bob.

It was the tan that brought them joy in a hard season of knowing what was to come. It was the tan that led to prayers.

It’s never “just a tan”. It’s so much more.

Thankful is an understatement when it comes to loving this big family. They are a unit. They love hard, celebrate life it the fullest and cherish each day.

Thankful to know and love them as well as gotten to know “Uncle Bob”.

It’s wedding week for these two love birds. She walked out this morning bronzed and beautiful ready to step in forever with her love.

Tomorrow she walks down the aisle and will make jaws drop.
