✨ Meet Sydnee — Owner of Rooted & Radiant Salon ✨

At just 20 years old, I took a leap of faith and opened Rooted & Radiant Salon. I’m incredibly ambitious and passionate about constantly learning and growing—not only as a stylist, but as a business owner and leader. I love challenging myself, gaining knowledge and most importantly, I love helping others grow, thrive, and become the best versions of themselves. 🤍✨

What inspired you to be in this industry?
🌱 Deep down, I think I’ve always had a passion for cutting hair. I didn’t seriously consider turning it into a career until my junior year of high school. Growing up, I spent a lot of time in my family’s barbershop, Rappold’s Barbershop, watching my great-uncle Steve cut my dad’s and brother’s hair. I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur and build a business of my own, but I also wanted to make a lasting impact on people’s lives. This industry gives me the opportunity to do both, and that’s what inspired me most.

What’s your specialty?
🌱 I take pride in every haircut I create from all textures and lengths. I also specialize in hair extensions and lived-in color.

Hobbies:
🌱 Outside of the salon, you can find me enjoying coffee with friends, playing with my dog Rex, cooking with my boyfriend Zane, learning to speak German, Bible journaling, and coaching my elementary homeschool archery team, HEAT. 🏹

One fun fact about you:
🌱 I’m the fifth generation in my family to pursue this industry as a career. My great-great-grandfather started Rappold’s Barbershop in 1906, and today it is run by my cousin, Rod. I’m incredibly proud to carry on the torch and continue the legacy that started generations before me. 🤍

What’s one thing you hope every client feels when they leave your chair?
🌱 I hope every client leaves feeling more confident—not only in their physical appearance, but also in their spiritual life. My chair and my salon are my ministry. I hope to use this business to serve others, encourage people, and make an impact on my community, just as Steve did for so many people throughout his life.

🌿 I love doing everything that’s hair whether that’s lived in color, heavy blonding, cuts, vivids, etc. I just love hair 🤭

Kind, spunky, and full of heart, Mia is passionate about creating beautiful hair while making every client feel seen, comfortable, and confident. What inspired you to be in this industry?
💎 Growing up with naturally curly hair in an area where most salons focused on straight hair made it difficult to find someone I truly trusted with my hair. Because of that, I developed a passion for creating a space where everyone, especially those with textured hair, feels seen, comfortable, and confident knowing they’re in good hands. Funny enough, I always told my mom I wanted to be either a hairstylist or a waitress when I grew up, and somehow I ended up becoming both. 😂 In high school, I started doing my friends’ hair, and that’s when I realized how much I loved helping people feel beautiful. The connections I’ve built with my clients have become just as meaningful to me as the transformations themselves.

💎 I Specialize in textured hair, extensions, and blonding🤎

💎 I’m a simple girl when it comes to my drinks! A good Sweet Tea or Water is my go to!

What are your hobbies?
💎 My hobbies are traveling, spending time with friends, reading, learning anything new (especially conspiracy theories), and beauty 🥰

💎 My favorite movie is the Cat in the Hat and my dream is to one day live near the beach!

What’s one thing you hope every client feels when they leave your chair?
💎 My hope is that every client leaves my chair feeling beautiful, confident, and truly heard. I want everyone who sits in my chair to know they’re in a judgment-free space where they can be themselves, ask questions, and feel comfortable sharing exactly what they’re looking for. I want my clients to feel like we created something together, not just that they got their hair done. More than anything, I hope they leave feeling refreshed, cared for, and more confident than when they walked in.

Hunter’s journey is anything but ordinary. She combines precision, artistry, and heart to create one-of-a-kind permanent jewelry and meaningful keepsakes for every client. We’re so excited for you to get to know Hunter and see why her and Lumi Spark is such a special part of the Rooted & Radiant family.

What inspired you to be in this industry?
⚡️ I was an industrial welder before joining the military, and welding was something I was always passionate about. After serving 9 years in the Navy, I discovered permanent jewelry and instantly fell in love with it. It gave me the opportunity to use my welding skills and the attention to detail I gained in the military to create meaningful, custom pieces for people. I genuinely can’t imagine doing anything else now.

What’s your specialty?
⚡️ Permanent custom jewelry with one of the largest selections around, featuring 200+ chain options and so much more than just bracelets and necklaces. I also offer custom laser-engraved jewelry, bangles, a fully customizable Charm Bar with a wide variety of accessories, and an Italian Charm Bar for a fun touch of nostalgia. My goal is to help every client create something that’s uniquely theirs.

⚡️ It depends where I am, but lately I’m grabbing just about anything from Sips N Trips!

What are your hobbies
⚡️ Spending time with my husband and kids, being outdoors, getting creative with crafts, and always learning something new! Right now, I’m working toward my Sylvotherapy Practitioner certification.

⚡️ My dream is to own a coffee shop/ bookstore someday! 🖤

⚡️ I hope every client leaves feeling lighter, happier, and excited about the piece they’re taking home. More than anything, I want my chair to be a place where people can slow down for a little while, laugh, chat, and make a memory, not just get a piece of jewelry.

✨ I was inspired to join this industry because I love making women feel beautiful! When I was in college, I was one of the team braiders on my softball team and they all told me that I have a talent, and I finally listened to them! 💗
