When life gives you lemons, be as Sweet as Honey

This Elegant Sole didn’t know me from Adam yet was such a beautiful encounter; She’s already booked a facial party for next month & she was a marvelous vessel of inspiration.
It’s no coincidence that she was my first client to receive my new ‘Lemon Honey’ facial -a lemon enzyme great for brightening dull skin & a honey mask great for nourishment & hydration. I added microdermabrasion to mechanically exfoliate the layer of dead skin, improve collagen and increase blood circulation.
As sweet & kind as this beauty is, you would be astounded by the hardships she’s encountered & shared with me: with the betrayal by those who were literally & legally responsible for her well being, it’s a miracle that she was even able to trust another to have the best intentions for her. She reminds me much of the essence of honey itself..It’s naturally sweet, no matter how bitter & sour like lemons the process may seem… honey does not lose it’s sweet taste & it continues being a source of healing & restoration for many. How many of us can look at the busyness of a honeycomb & concur with the busyness of our own lives, how many of us can relate to the misuse of beehives everywhere due to miscommunication, what about the fact that honey and it’s benefits are in high demand yet the bees that create it are endangered due to the negligence of the ecosystem?
Just take a look at the first picture, the dullness & loss of color is much like our hearts & spirits when we invest so much of ourselves to others without reciprocation, when hope is deferred time & time again, when trauma is left ignored & unresolved.. but once we can taste life’s honey that comes in the form of pure friendships, reciprocated love, forgiveness, & of course God’s goodness.. everything becomes vibrant in living color..
I’m here to say, “Hey sweetheart, don’t give up! You are very much needed and you are valuable.”
No matter how tough things get in life.. may everyone attached to me remain the honey of this earth & may we trust God to be our redeemer in the process.

Can I be honest?
I've been struggling with confidence in myself lately. God led me to homeschool my daughter because I couldn't find a job that worked for me or my daughter, So God told me to focus on full-time entrepreneurship. HUH?! Lord I don't have that many clients to support myself! PLUS you just told me to homeschool and many people are telling me it's a bad idea because she'll be in the way...
On top of that, He also told me to change the services on my menu. I've replaced acrylic & Dip with not just gel polish, but gel builder as well - which is an enhancement much like acrylic but without the chemical fumes & a different skill that takes a different kind of patience 🤣
So once again, God has called me to step out of my comfort zone all while encouraging me to REALLY market myself...
Well, the moment I stepped out on faith and followed His advice... I received a call from a complete stranger who requested the mobile package deal. Usually, I ask before the appointment what my client desires for their nails, but this time I only asked about her skin care concerns (which she already had a great skincare routine, but wanted to be rid of a scar; see pictures for results)
Skeptical, I asked if she minded that I brought my 5 year old "assistant" and she responded "SURE! I have a playroom she will enjoy" WHEW! Thank you Jesus. 😊
I get to our appointment & learn that she is a teacher celebrating Dr. Seuss week, she wanted me to do something I've wanted to get better at, which is HAND DRAWN ART!
As we talked, I learned that this mama too, is desiring to flourish as an entrepreneur & we were able to encourage each other to set ourselves apart in our passions no matter how difficult or against the grain it may be &..
Well, I'm quite proud of my work! Not to mention my daughter did such a great job being an assistant that she too received a tip to add to her piggy bank.🥰

May everyone attached to me have the faith to trust in God enough to believe in themselves.
