Shoulder pain has a way of showing up in everything you do—reaching, lifting, working at a desk, driving, even getting comfortable at night.
When the muscles around your neck, shoulders, chest, and upper back stay tight, they can affect how freely your shoulder moves and how your body feels throughout the day.
Massage therapy can help by working through areas of muscle tension, improving circulation to the tissues, and supporting better mobility. Targeted work around the shoulder blades, upper back, neck, and chest can be especially helpful when tension and overuse are part of the problem.
You don't always have to wait until the pain is severe to take care of it. Sometimes, your body just needs a little attention before that nagging ache becomes your new normal.
If your shoulders have been carrying a little too much lately, let's work on them. 🤍

Your body was made to move — and sometimes, the simplest things make a bigger difference than we realize. 🤍
One of those things is stretching.
Stretching helps maintain mobility, reduce muscle tension, and keep your joints moving through their normal range of motion. But gentle movement also matters to another important system in your body: your lymphatic system.
Unlike your cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system doesn't have a central pump like the heart. Lymph fluid moves through the body with the help of muscle contractions, breathing, and everyday movement.
That’s one reason why staying active and taking time to gently stretch can be a great part of supporting healthy circulation and lymph movement.
Think of it as giving your body a little encouragement to keep things moving. 🌿
As a massage therapist, I see how much better people can feel when they make movement, stretching, hydration, and bodywork part of their regular self-care — not just something they turn to when they’re already hurting.
Your body does a lot for you every single day. Taking a few minutes to move, breathe, and stretch is a simple way to give some of that care back.
Move. Stretch. Breathe. Take care of your body.

One of my favorite little tools for working out stubborn tight spots at home? A lacrosse ball. 🙌
It can be a simple way to apply focused pressure to areas that feel tight or sore, especially after a workout or a long day on your feet. Rolling slowly over the muscle can help you relax that area and ease some of that built-up tension.
It’s inexpensive, easy to use, and takes just a few minutes.

If you lift weights, you already know your muscles need recovery—not just another workout. 💪
Adding regular massage to your routine can be a great way to support that recovery.
Massage may help:
• Reduce muscle tension and soreness
• Improve circulation to the tissues being worked
• Support flexibility and range of motion
• Ease the feeling of tight, overworked muscles
• Help you relax and recover between training sessions
And while massage isn’t a replacement for proper sleep, hydration, nutrition, or rest days, it can be a valuable part of the bigger recovery picture.
You put in the work at the gym.
Give your body some attention afterward, too.
Book your recovery massage with Revive Massage and keep doing what you love—stronger, smarter, and with recovery built into the routine. 👐🏼💪

As a massage therapist, I often use essential oils to enhance your massage experience. For me, massage isn't just about working on muscles—it's about creating an environment where your whole body can relax. 🤍
Depending on what you're looking for, I may incorporate oils like Lavender, Peace & Calming, or Stress Away to create a soothing atmosphere and add another sensory element to your session.
Some clients love the calming aroma. Others prefer a completely unscented massage—and that's perfectly okay too! Your massage should be personalized to YOU.
Whether you love essential oils or would rather skip them, I'll always take your preferences into consideration. My goal is for you to leave feeling relaxed, cared for, and renewed. 🌿
Have you ever had essential oils incorporated into a massage? Are you an oils person or do you prefer your massage fragrance-free? 💆♀️

Something Everyone Should Know About Massage
Massage isn’t just about feeling relaxed for an hour. Your body is constantly adapting to how you move, work, sleep, exercise, and handle stress.
One of the most important things to know is that massage doesn’t have to hurt to be effective. More pressure isn’t automatically better. The goal is to work with the body—not fight against it—using pressure and techniques appropriate for what your tissues need that day.
Massage may help:
• Reduce muscle tension and soreness
• Improve circulation and support relaxation
• Increase short-term flexibility and range of motion
• Ease the feeling of tight, overworked muscles
• Encourage the body to shift out of a stressed, “fight-or-flight” state
And here’s something people often overlook: communication matters.
Tell your therapist what feels good, what doesn’t, where you’re feeling discomfort, and what you hope to get out of your session. Your massage should be tailored to you, not performed the exact same way every time.
Sometimes, the best massage isn’t the deepest one.
Sometimes it’s the one that helps your body finally let go.
At Revive Massage, every session is an opportunity to listen to what your body is telling you and work with it—not against it. 🤍
