Hi guys, it’s me Dev! 😁 I am getting back at it with being more present here and I have missed you guys!

I took a bit of a break from posting because I get in my head about being creative and doubt any and all things I think about posting 😅 So no more second guessing and here’s to just putting my work out there because screw it. Anyone else get that way?

Here’s the deets about this set. My friend lets me try anything so we tested out the LuxLashSociety Lash Extensions] pro-made fans which were 🤌🏼 plus she is blessed and can literally pull anything off. We did a hybrid set and we did a Brow Lamination + Tint, which I am obsessed with.

Doing lashes like these can take anywhere from 3.5-5hrs, maybe even six hours without any promade fans. That is why scheduling can be a bit tricky.

Now that Olive is in my life my schedule has been extremely limited because my husband and I split parenting shifts. We didn’t want to spend money on child care and so we are making it work. I have to make sure everything is getting done within the business like inventory, management, scheduling appointments, etc. and I never realized how time consuming it can be while working on clients, raising a baby, and just doing every day life things.

Here are a couple things that has helped me be productive…

1. Make a list
-I can be extremely scattered brained so if I don’t write things down, I will most likely forget about it.

2. Plan ahead
-I am now working on making a list of things I want to see happen in my work/personal life. So it will actually get done

3. Ask for help/advice
-My husband is a huge help/adviser to me. I know if I ask him for help he will help set me in a good path to get things done and help make a game plan. Asking for someone else’s opinion can help put things into perspective and make you think of things you may not have thought of before.

Those a just a few things on a huge list that help me stay productive.

Why does your volume appointment take so long?!

You can’t rush art! If you are a client and wonder why it takes so long to get a volume set it’s because each of your natural lashes are isolated at the time of your appointment. Each volume fan is handmade by your lash artist to better customize to your natural lashes and eye shape.

There is a lot that goes into each set to determine what shape will work for your eye shape. What might look amazing on one person won’t always look great on another, and no a cat eye does not look good on everyone!

Another factor that is taken into consideration is the health of your natural lashes. If they are short and thin, your lashes will not be able to support a super long heavy fan. If a long heavy fan is placed on a natural lash that is short and thin, retention will be horrible and could potentially damage the natural lash.

Do your homework before getting your lashes done. If it takes an hour to get a full set of volume lashes, that is a 🚩 🚩🚩 run the other way.

It’s official!!

I’ll be taking clients again November 1st 🎉 My schedule is going to be very limited so if you want to get in you may want to schedule now and book a few appointments in advance.

With my limited time pricing will also be changing. I want to be able to give you all an amazing experience and not feel rushed with my work.

A quick reminder for the best experience possible. Please be sure you are taking great care of your lashes at home. This means washing your lashes at least 1-2x a day, even if you do not wear eye makeup, no mascara, rubbing, picking at your lashes. I want to be able to give you the fullest set possible and if you have less then 45% of your extensions in, it makes it almost impossible to get them back to 100% fullness in one appointment. If that happens you will either need to come back in sooner or schedule for a full set. If you are booking for a full set you will receive a free aftercare kit.

Do not come in with eye makeup on! If you do it takes out of your application time because I have to cleanse for a longer period of time to make sure your lashes are makeup free. Adhesive does not stick to dirty lashes and your extensions will not last nearly as long as they could have. Do us both a favor and please do not wear eye makeup to your appointment. If you want to cleanse before your appointment I can provide you with cleanser and a brush to clean them.

Also I do not require tips but of course they are always appreciated ☺️ I have missed you all and cannot wait to get back to lashing and see what you all have been up to!!
