Restocked on a couple good ones! If you haven’t made the switch yet to handmade soaps (specifically ones made with all natural colorants and essential oils, none of the endocrine disrupting synthetic stuff) your skin is crying and begging you.

Last nights beauty! The house and junk in the foreground aren’t the prettiest but that’s ok. I was still in awe. I sat on a little tikes slide in the middle of my yard while my kids played and just absorbed all that my senses were experiencing.
When you gain the understanding that experiencing Creation is experiencing God Himself, it hits differently. The wind on your face feels like a gentle touch from Him. The sun on your skin is His warm embrace. Smelling sweet honeysuckle is breathing in His beautiful aroma. The frogs, birds and the crickets song are His healing rhythm. And the sunsets are his beautiful artwork offered to us as a gift from the heart. Let me say that again. Sunsets are from the heart of God himself. Sure makes me want to slow down enough to never miss another one.
God has made healing available to us and this is part of the prescription.

Of course you do! White clover (Trifolium repens) is very common and abundant in many people’s yards. It helps to fix nitrogen in the soil, prevent erosion, and provide food for livestock and wildlife.
That’s all wonderful, but did you know it is not only an edible for humans but has some great medicinal properties as well? All aerial parts of the plant are edible. The flowers make a wonderful tea. You may have heard of the benefits of its cousin red clover. It is more recognized amongst herbalists. White clover has similar properties.
It is a cooling herb, useful for fevers and colds.
It’s a gentle blood purifier and nourishing tonic.
It has been used traditionally for gout.
It also provides gentle digestive support.
Some of the best herbs for gentle but effective action, are the abundant, unassuming little yard weeds we walk over daily.

Pine tar soap! She’s stanky. Ok she actually just smells like a campfire so not horrendous and totally tolerable considering she offers several benefits, including soothing skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, relieving itching from bug bites, relieve and heal poison ivy/oak/sumac, and providing natural antibacterial properties that help prevent body odor. Additionally, it can be effective in treating dandruff and promoting overall skin health. Come get you some at 6043 2nd St. in Kimmswick!

Did you know that catnip is not just for cats? It actually has amazing benefits for people!
Catnip (Nepeta cataria) can help promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, help with digestive issues, improve sleep quality, and help with respiratory health.
The chemical component nepetalactone is responsible for both the mild sedative action and humans and the euphoric response from cats.
I have this one growing in my garden, it is prolific and loved by pollinators!
Come get some chill at 6043 2nd St in Kimmswick!

I haven’t posted in awhile. Things are going great at the new shop! We are still adjusting to a new place, a new pace, and change in our routine.
All that said, I picked up this amazing piggy and chat GPT has dubbed him my new shop mascot 😆. I was asking for message ideas for the board, I didn’t particularly love any of the options it gave. So what do ya’ll think? Something clever, humorous but holy, encouraging, scriptural, inspirational, fitting for the shop (think soap, herbs, remedies, healing, handmade)…any ideas? Give me all you got! Oh and also he needs a name.
