Emotional abuse....Gaslighting is another part of this.

Are you ever made to feel like your questioning what really happened? Do they deny what you KNOW took place? Do they distort the reality of it? That's gaslighting and making you question your own sanity and/or the reality of the event.

Please keep this in mind for the future and think back over the past and see if this is something you are experiencing or have experienced and didn't realize it. Sometimes we are not aware of what's actually happening when we are in it.

Emotional abuse looks like...silent treatment as punishment! This is manipulative and controlling behavior. Have you ever experienced being treated this way? How does it make you feel? Did you even know that it is a form of abuse?

Gaslighting is another form this can take to control your mind and make you think that maybe you did something wrong or your perspective is incorrect. To question yourself. That's a form of control so they don't have to deal with the truth of things.
