I often get asked “When did you know you wanted to become a hairstylist?”. Since I was a young girl I was interested in all things cosmetology related and I’m lucky enough that I have a very supportive family.
Here I was about 13 and my Gma let me do her highlights (yes, I’m old enough to when the cap highlighting method was a thing). I also have an aunt and uncle that owned a salon and let me come shadow them to foster my interest. Gma also would come to the beauty school to let me practice and was my model for state board exam to get licensed.
I’m grateful I found my passion and went for it to become my career at a young age. I’d love to mentor young people that are interested in the field as well. 20+ years in and I still love it!

Just a friendly reminder there is only 7 weeks left of the year and holiday season is kicking off strong. We will do our best to get you in for your hair, skin, lash and nail needs but heads up we are booking up fast. If you don’t see a time that works for you on our booking sites you can add yourself to a waitlist. Also, if you have a scheduled appointment already and that time no longer works for you please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer those spots with people on the waitlist & try to help you find another time that works. Momma Sandlin in the house! She hasn’t been able to get out much for some weeks now due to healing from surgery so it was good to have her come in to the Birdcage for some pampering. Fresh color, cut and eyebrow waxing🤩. Everyone deserves some self care especially when you’ve been doing the hard work of physical healing. 😊💕💪

So I realized recently that our website’s (contact us) form was not actually delivering messages to the right place. I want to apologize for anyone who used this feature and did not get a reply back. I had the opportunity to sit down with my brother in law Alan (who is a tech guru imo and helped create the website for us) and we worked out the kinks. That feature is now working smoothly. As always, you can contact any of us directly with our numbers listed but now we can effectively use this contact form as well. We’ll be working on a few other updates for the website as well. Thank you for continued support and referrals to our small business!

AR leadership is a business that Michelle’s sister Rebekah & brother in law Alan created & operate. While visiting in California I got the pleasure to see their office and get some work done here with him. Entrepreneurship runs in the family!
