Sometimes the best ways to cool down are the simplest. đşđ
If you're already feeling the heat, this Iced Hibiscus & Lemon blend is a refreshing way to hydrate and reset.
Hibiscus is a naturally cooling herb packed with antioxidants and vitamin C, making it perfect for soothing the system. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon, and you have a bright, tart, refreshing drink that grounds your energy on the hottest days.
How to make it:
Steep 4 hibiscus tea bags in 4 cups of hot water for 5-10 minutes.
Let cool and stir in the juice of half a lemon (add a drizzle of honey if you like it sweet!)
Chill in the fridge, pour over ice, and enjoy the pause. â¨
If you're making a pitcher, add another 4 cups of cold water or ice and a few lemon slices. Have you tried brewing your own iced herbal teas yet? Let us know whatâs in your glass this week! đ

A specific kind of magic happens when you step out of the treatment room and straight into the breeze. đżâ¨
At the cottage, we love being so close to outdoor spaces because it allows our guests to extend their relaxation just a little longer.
Instead of rushing back to the car, take a slow stroll along a nature trail, ground yourself, take a moment of stillness on a park bench, let the work truly sink in. đ
How do you like to spend your post-session glow?

Stop "living with" the shooting pain. âĄď¸
The sciatic nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in the body. Sciatica is a signal from your body that something is pressing on this nerve. Whether itâs from sitting too long or a tight piriformis muscle, it's hard to just "tough it out."
Try these tips for immediate relief:
The Seated Figure-4:Â While sitting, cross your ankle over your opposite knee and lean forward with a flat back. Youâll feel the release right where the nerve usually gets pinched.
Alternate Your Posture: If you sit for work, set a timer for every 30 minutes to stand up and do a gentle standing back extension.
Ice the "Source": If the pain is sharp, apply an ice pack to your lower glute/hip area for 15 minutes to reduce nerve inflammation.
Pro Tip: Try "Nerve Flossing" đ§Ź
Think of this as dental floss for your leg. Instead of a deep stretch, gently "glide" the nerve by straightening your leg and looking up, then bending your ankle and looking down. This helps the nerve slide through the muscle without getting caught. Keep it smooth, never painful!
Our therapists specialize in releasing the deep-seated tension that causes this radiating discomfort.Â

đż In the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, sleep isn't just about closing your eyesâitâs about preparing your body to let go of the dayâs extra weight.
Here are three ways to nurture yourself as you wind down from the day:
đ Gentle Release: Try a few minutes of "Cat-Cow" or a supported Childâs Pose. Focus on breathing into your lower back to release the tension that builds up throughout the day.
đ The Power of Botanicals: Peppermint tea is a classic for a reason; it helps soothe digestion so you can lie down comfortably. Red Raspberry Leaf tea (best for 3rd trimester), is traditionally loved for its mineral content and ability to soothe a restless nervous system. Lemon Balm tea, known as the "calming herb," is a gentle way to quiet a racing mind and prepare for rest. Always check with your midwife or doctor before adding new herbs to your routine!
đ Mindful Foot Care: A quick self-massage with lavender-infused oil can reduce swelling and signal to your brain that itâs time to power down.
⨠Take the Weight Off Your Shoulders
While home rituals are vital, sometimes your body needs a deeper level of care. Our Prenatal Massages are designed to complement your wellness routine. We focus on the specific stretching and muscle release that's hard to achieve on your own, giving youâand your babyâa moment of pure, weightless peace.
