Thank you to everyone who has supported me. I am no longer able to accommodate any new clients at this time.

So I've been trying very hard to find the words to describe the last 7 days. It's been a whirlwind of emotion, hard work, and a lot of tears.

On the 31st if July, my home of 18 years closed its doors permanently. It was a busy day willed with a lot of nostalgia and "this isn't good bye"'s. Finishing off with cleaning out my station and being the last one out one last time. After the work day was over I was at a loss.

I didn't have time to set back and take it in though. Up until today it's been a flurry of paint, paperwork, checking in product, and getting things set up. I'm very proud of what's been done in so little time. Big huge thanks tonmy parents, my grandma and more then anything my amazing wife. Without my family I don't know how I could ever have done this.

Decorations are coming over time. Things will change as I get settled, but Cryptid Salon is open for business!

Am I ready? No. I'm scarred. I'm nervous. I'm excited. My books are filling up. I have a home. My clients have a home. All and all there's just one thing left to sat. Let's do this!

Cryptid Salon Studio

For the last 24 hours I've been trying very hard to figure out what to say. I've already had a flood of messages from clints and friends offering support and love and for that I am absolutely grateful.

For 18 years I've called Snips Salon & Spa home. 2 different locations, 2 sets of owners, births, deaths, and a number of stylists and staff that i cant even begin to count. I've met some of my best friends though Snips. Needless to say it has been a large part of my life.

Right now I'm planning and prepping for my next steps. I have already signed a lease for a new studio space of my own at Phenix Salon Suites at Glendale Mall and i hope to be up and operational by the beginning of August. I didn't make this decision quickly or lightly. I believe this will be the best location to continue to provide my signature service to my amazing clients. I know that the location might be a bit further then some are willing to travel. To those clients I am sorry. Please know I love all of you like family and I understand.

Currently I am working very hard to get my booking online and to get my new home ready to take care of all of you wonderful people. Hopefully my booking services will be up by the beginning of next week so that there is as little interruption as possible. Please be patient with me though. I will do my absolute best to make sure each and everyone of my clients get taken care of.

I am so very thankful for the amazing memories I've made at Snips and for Anthony and Kevin for taking a chance on this scruffy punk rock kid all those years ago. I miss them every single day. I am very thankful to the Bailey's for everything they have taught me and for keeping the salon going for as long as they did. they really have taught me a lot over the last 7 years. I'm thankful for each and every coworker I've had over the years. Good times and bad times, especially my current fellow stylist who are new making their own plans for the future. And most of all I'm thankful to all my amazing clients. You all are absolutely amazing beautiful people. and i wouldn't be where or who i am without you.

Man its been a hell of a Christmas season. No, its not been normal. Honestly its been everything but. I'm so happy to have my amazing clients and coworkers. Thank you all. I love every one of you. I know this holiday season won't be the same for a lot of us, but I really truly hope that you all have the amazing holidays you deserve. What ever you celebrate this week and next (or last week for some) I hope you have the happiest of holidays. I'll see you all again soon.

So for the last month we've been selling these candles in honor of our founders Anthony () and Kevin , who passed in the last couple months. With the help of amazing clients and members of the Irvington community we have raised almost $3000 to donate to Indy Feral and Downey Avenue Christian Church Performing Arts. Two causes that both Anthony and Kevin had great passion for. The candles have then been hung in the shop windows as a visual representation of there love for this community.

It was our goal to have the windows filled all the way around and we are so close to that goal.

[Swipe for afters] This one if a favorite from a couple weeks ago. My client was feeling bore with her hair so we brightened her up with a nice soft balayage for her cute one length bob and detailed the cut with blending shears along the length to soften the hard line.
Styled with kms mousse for volume and kenra heat block spray to lock in loose flatiron curls while protecting her hair from any excess heat.

Another big one from yesterday. I'm always stoked when someone trusts me to make a big change and this was a big one. Went from shaggy and unkempt to smart and sophisticated in 30 minutes. Slightly longer layers in the front gives him the ability to tuck the front behind his ears and out of his face.

Styled with reuzel grooming cream for texture and a little bit of reuzel clay spray before the blow-dry for hold.

The #1 haircut that I've wanted to do since working with is the psyco flattop. Today I got to live that dream to the fullest. Its a sharp subculture style that doesn't work for just anyon but my buddy Josh can really pull it off. With a slick skin fade and razor line detail for extra style.

Styled with Reuzel Spray Clay for added thickness and hold and finished with Reuzel Red High Shine Pomade for added hold and shine.
