Today I had the opportunity to speak at Empire Beauty School, and I’m always grateful for opportunities like this.

Connecting with the next generation of stylists gives me a chance to share what I’ve learned, but it also gives me perspective. I remember being the stylist who was just getting started and trying to figure out what kind of career I wanted to build.

When I created Kurlykoils, I wanted to create more than a place to do hair. I wanted to create a peaceful, supportive environment where stylists could grow, make good money, continue learning, build their clientele, and actually enjoy coming to work.

That vision is still at the heart of what we’re building.
